The Energy Storage Systems Engineer will be responsible for all technical work to deliver Energy Storage Systems (ESS) as part of Power and Energy Solutions under ClearEnergy. This includes an understanding of customer’s needs, energy profiles, and life-cycle requirements, optimally selecting suppliers’ equipment, engineering and technical aspects of the design to ensure low life-cycle cost, quality, reliability, constructability, and operation. Lead the development of standardized and/or project specific ESS for Utility-Scale and Microgrid applications using Li-Ion, Flow, Inverter, and BOP technologies. Provide expertise in the optimization of Energy Storage Systems. Benchmark and evaluate new technologies or new offerings from suppliers, and integrate into our solutions, as well as help with technical due diligence for investment decisions.
Principal Responsibilities
Track and document issue resolution using ticketing system.
Assist staff with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines.
Work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.
Interact with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client server environment. Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers, and administrative systems.
Required
Excellent knowledge of most recent versions of Microsoft Office.
Ability to conduct independent research and analyses.
Excellent problem solving.
Detail-oriented with the ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
